Mrs. Maye Dean Wade, 96, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. John Rumford officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wade was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Whitmire and was a daughter of the late John Payne Dean and Eunice Barber Dean and the widow of Raymond F. Wade. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School, attended Spartanburg Junior College and was a retired clerical secretary with J.P. Stevens Co. Mrs. Wade was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son-in-law, Kenneth Taylor of Lancaster; and one grandson, Zachary Taylor of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Wade Taylor; one brother, Clair Dean; and one sister, Daisy Everett.
