Melva N. (Hiley) Sellers, 89, of Glenwood, passed away on June 19, 2018, in Tabor. She was born on Feb. 7, 1929, in Lenox to Wilda Ray "Pop" and Bertha (Anderson) Hiley.
Melva was united in marriage to Chester Gene Sellers on Nov. 2, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. To this union four children were born, Virginia, Lois, Leonard and LouAnne. Melva was employed as a supervisor at Unitog until her retirement. Melva was a member of the First Christian Church in Glenwood. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, going to the casino and eating out with friends. Her family was very special to her and they in turn loved her dearly.
Preceding Melva in passing were her parents, husband, daughter Lois, son-in-law Gene Sheets, six brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her children, Virginia Sheets of Glenwood; Leonard (Jenny) Sellers of Fremont, Neb.; LouAnne (Ben) Hastings of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Services were Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Peterson Mortuary.
Inurnment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.
