Belohovek, Anne "Angel Anne",
91, of Westminster, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Anne was born in Yugoslavia in 1921 to Ignatz and Julia Knaus. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 9, settling in Ohio. She married Frank Belohovek in 1946 and moved to Orange County in 1960.
Anne served her country during WWII
as an Army Cadet Nurse, then went on to became a Registered Nurse in civilian life. She used her nursing background to help many people around the world and was heavily involved in charity work within her community. Anne was given the name "Angel Anne" for her tireless volunteer work. She was sharp, a true caregiver at heart, and always putting others first, helping those in need.
Anne was an active member of Saint Vincent De Paul and the Slovene National Benefit Society (SNPJ.) She loved to travel, volunteer, polka dance and spend time with her family.
Anne is survived by her two daughters: Barbara Belohovek and Kathleen Belohovek, her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Anne will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery, Thursday, June 27th at 12:01 pm.
