Craig was born in Los Angeles, CA to Charles and Dorothy (Elliason) Barnett on April 10,1948.
He attended Holy Cross Academy, worked as a machinist, and later as one of San Clemente's best loved landscapers. His landscape designs in San Clemente and Dana Point are historical in their scale and beauty; a tribute to his passion and talent for landscape design.
Craig's chief love was for his son Brett. The man his son is becoming honors all that made his Dad special. Many will remember Craig in the baseball stands for years at DPYB and later San Clemente High School, cheering and coaching his son, and often the coaches as well. He was an outstanding golfer, and enjoyed deep sea fishing, bass fishing, trout fishing, anything involving a hook and line.
Craig is survived and forever loved by his son, Brett T. Barnett; step-sons Sean, Hunter, and Eric Gillane, step-son Brad Dunlap, long time companion Sandy Burrett, his dog Buddy, and family and friends that loved him dearly.
Craig lives in our hearts; we thank him for being the man he was; the Angel watching over us now.
