Western, George

On November 1, 2012, George Western, of Laguna Niguel, passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Reggie and is survived by his son, Win; two daughters, Carolyn Mariska and Marianna McGinn; along with his grandchildren, Cara and Lindsay Mariska, Ryan, Patrick and Colleen McGinn and Whitnee Western. He was born August 11, 1923 in Los Angeles where he attended Fairfax H.S. and later graduated from UCLA. He was a member of the "Greatest Generation" and served as an officer in the Navy during WWII. After the war he was in the chemical business owning and operating A.J. Lynch & Lyco Transportation Company. He lived in Tustin, CA for 30 years prior to relocating to Laguna Niguel. During retirement he remained active as a business consultant and in his church. He was fortunate and blessed to have a great family and many great friends who will miss him immensely. A memorial service will be held at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Tustin, Friday, Dec. 21st at 11:00am.
