JOHN DAVID HEIL

Heil, John David, born May 3, 1934 in Syracuse, NY to Francis and Helen Heil.

Passed away January 23, 2013 at Silverado Senior Living in Tustin, CA after a living many years with alzheimers/parkinsons. He was a resident of Yorba Linda, CA (previously Buena Park, CA).

John was a graduate of Excelsior HS in Bellflower, CA, Woodbury College and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. John made a lifelong career of real estate, purchasing his first property at the young age of 19. He enjoyed gourmet cooking, gardening (especially tomatoes) and travel. He was always active in church and had lifelong threads that always connected him to those roots. Those who knew him enjoyed his quirky sense of humor and his generous heart. He was fortunate in his life to have forged great friendships with so many diverse groups of intelligent people. He loved his family and he loved his friends, but he loved the most, his "family of friends".

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jan Bell Heil; daughter, Ginger Heil of Long Beach, CA; step daughters, Deena Graf of Yuba City, CA; Dorea Roy of San Jose, CA; and his brother, Donald Heil of Roseburg, OR.

If you are so inclined, any donation to the Alzheimer's or Parkinson's Associations in John's name would be a great honor. http://www.alz.org and http://www.parkinson.org

His cremains will be located at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA. Private services will be held.
