PAUL LEIGH DUGMORE

Dugmore, Paul Leigh, 88, of Huntington Beach, passed away peacefully at home with his family on January 27, 2013. He was born May 21, 1924 to Paul Leigh Dugmore Sr., and Pearl Stauty Dugmore in Long Beach, CA at Seaside Hospital. He had a sister, Marilyn Dugmore Hilts who is deceased.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, June Dugmore. He was a loving father to his 5 children: Debbie (Rick), Paul III, Gale (George), David (Rachel) and Dan (Ginka), and also a giving grandfather to Nicholas, Jonathan, Deborah, Susanna and James. He has 2 nephews: Derek and Kevin. And we can't forget the family cat, "Cindy".

Paul was a graduate from Avenal High School, class of '42 and from California State University Long Beach, class of 1951, with a BA Degree in Education. Before college, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guards, where he served for 4 years during World War II. He was dedicated to Education for more than 39 years in the Palos Verdes School District. He taught all subjects at Dapple Gray Jr. High, but excelled in sports.

Paul loved his family, education and golf. He was a former member of SeaCliff Country Club and Long Beach Recreational Park Golf Club. He was also a member of First Lutheran Church Long Beach and Golden West College Patrons.

Visitation will be held Feb. 5, 2013 4-8pm and Funeral Services Feb. 6, 2013 at 2pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to California State University; to Long Beach Athletic Dept.; and Golden West College Patron's Scholarships.

We will miss our husband, father, grandfather, uncle and golf partner.
