RAY RICHARD AND GOLDIE WOODARD MOORE

Moore, Ray Richard and Goldie Woodard, residents of Tustin since 1963. Goldie (1923-2013) passed away peacefully on August 16. Her beloved Ray (1924-2013) passed away peacefully on August 17. This is the true story of a couple that loved each other and loved being with each other. They were always very close to each other in life, and now are close to each other again in the hereafter.

Ray and Goldie were married in 1947. Ray and Goldie are survived by their two children, David (spouse Sherry) and Kathleen (spouse Richard). They are also survived by two grandchildren, David Jr. and Bridget.

Ray was a member of the Army Air Corps in WWII, supporting Allied bombers in England. He later received his B.A. in Business. For 20 years he worked for FHA/HUD, and became the Deputy Director. While supporting his family, with small children, Ray went back to school, receiving his MBA from San Diego State University. Ray retired from HUD and spent several years as Vice President of Fullerton Mortgage and Escrow Company. He was a member of the California Mortgage Bankers Association until his retirement. He served as President and a Director of the Orange County Association of Mortgage Bankers. Ray was a Mason, member of the Scottish Rite, Shriners and the Elks Club for many years.

Goldie received her Registered Nurse (R.N.) in 1942. She continued her education in the nursing field taking courses in Huntington Beach from 1980-82. Goldie worked as a physical therapist in Huntington Beach at a private clinic for several years. She also attended classes at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine.

Ray and Goldie were a loving couple, spending most of their time doing activities with each other, be it tennis, walking, square dancing, traveling and vacationing at their timeshare in North Lake Tahoe.
