ROBERT L. KOLLER

Koller, Robert L.

11/4/1930 - 4/18/14

There wasn't a friend he would not help, nor a family member he would not extend a special effort to try to make things right. On April 18, 2014, Robert "Robbie" Koller concluded his life's journey to join his wife and true love of 48 years, Ida "Mickey" Koller. It's fitting that it was Good Friday, but no day would have been the right day to lose our Dad. His love for travel, adventure, friendliness to those he met and creative nature was a cornerstone to who he was and how he'll be remembered. His work ethic was immeasurable and his desire to earn his keep and provide for his family spanned over 70 years from his childhood days of working in a Los Angeles bakery, to serving in the Navy during the Korean War, airline industry, TV repair, and aerospace. But, he happened upon his ultimate job later in life as a Cast Member at Disneyland, Anaheim where he worked for 13 fun-filled years begrudgingly retiring when he was 80. His infectious smile and "oh, what the hell" attitude will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. There's no doubt, he'd also want to give one final special "shout-out" to his card playing buddies at Las Palmas in Laguna Woods where he enjoyed there twice a week sessions. The family lives on in Robbie and Mickey's three children, and seven grandchildren. We love you mom and dad and are blessed to know that you two are together again!
