WILLIAM "BILL" PEVERILL

Peverill, William "Bill", passed away peacefully on the afternoon of April 27, 2013 at the age of 80. Bill is survived by his two children, William and Sandy; his grandchildren, Jessalyn, Colton, McClinton, Jordan; and his great-grandchildren, Elliot, Hudson and Owen.

Bill was born in Hollywood, California to Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Peverill. He graduated with a Masters in Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1961. While attending the University of Southern California, Bill met his wife of 57 years on a blind date and eventually would relocate to San Clemente. He landed a job with ITT Canon where he ran the lab as Manager of the Product Evaluation and Testing Laboratory. After retiring, he did consulting work, which allowed Bill and Jan to continue traveling.

Bill was very involved in the local communities with his wife Jan. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he served as the Assistant Scout Master for Troop 737. Bill would eventually be the District Commissioner in 1974. He also was very devoted member of the Monarch Beach Rotary Club since 1990. The group knew him as "Wild Bill".

A celebration of life will be on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Please contact William or Sandy for further information regarding the gathering.
