Deyden, Janet, died Aug. 3, 2012 peacefully at her home in Costa Mesa. She was born in Winthrop, MA to Bliss and Rose Boardman and moved to California in 1957. Her husband of 56 years, Emil Deyden died in 1998. She was a devoted wife and mother, known for her witty sense of humor, who loved to paint, sew, and hunt for beautiful rocks. She was a long-standing member of the Orange County Lapidary Society and published their newsletter for many years. She is survived by her six children, Paul Deyden, Karin Marchus, Mark Deyden, Linda Holmstrom, Chris Deyden, and Michelle Gomez, as well as 18 grand- and 7 great-grandchildren and her sister, Carolyn Paladino. Services will be held on August 16 at 11am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1015 Baker St. Costa Mesa, CA.
