Amy Lammers Obituary

Lammers, Amy Louise, of Laguna Hills died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at her home in Laguna Hills, California. She was 43 years old. Amy was born Feb 4th, 1967 in Madison, Wisconsin. She was the second of four children born to Roger and Sherry Henry. She moved to California when she was 8 years old and graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 1985. She married Mark Anthony Lammers in 1992 and left her job as secretary soon afterward to stay home and raise a family. She took great joy in being involved as a volunteer at her kid's school. She is survived by her husband Mark; their three children, Jonathan, Christian and Daisy Lammers of Laguna Hills; her parents Roger and Sherry Henry of Mission Viejo; her sister Melissa Henry of Santa Ana; brothers Matthew Henry of Moreno Valley and Michael Henry of Delaware; a hyper young puppy, two indoor cats and any neighborhood cat who came to her door looking for a meal. Amy accepted Christ as her personal Savior in January of 1991 and we take comfort in the fact that her passing is a temporary separation from us. She is remembered most for her tender heart, her quick wit, first class party planner, a great cook, her devotion to family and her commitment to Christ. The celebration of her life will be held at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church/School in Lake Forest, CA on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11am. Our joys will be greater, our love will be deeper, our lives will be fuller because we shared her moment. O'Connor Mortuary, (949) 581-4300 www.oconnormortuary.com

Mark, I am an old friend of Sherry and know Roger as well. Sherry was my best friend when we were growing up in Madison. We only lived a few blocks from each other and I was always at her house and know most of her family. I haven't seen her for a very long time and I just found out from Jane (who wrote to you yesterday) about the passing of Amy. I am so very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Sherry and Roger's children, but my 2 daughters are only a couple years older than Amy and my heart goes out to all of you. They moved to CA before I did and I didn't realize for many years that we didn't live that far apart. I did go to see Sherry and Roger quite a few years ago and they were very involved in their Church. My prayer is that faith will help them and all of you through this very difficult time. I found their address so I will be sending them my condolences in the next few days. God Bless all of you.

I did not know you Mark. i only knew Amy. We grew up together, down the street from each other as kids in Mission Viejo. We laughed together, cried together, and did stupid kid things together, which led to stupid teenager things together, all while having a blast. Amy's smile was infectious as was her laugh. I will miss both in this world but will seem them again on her in our next journey together with the Lord. My love and prayers are with you all. Love, Marie Whitcomb
