My heart goes out to the West family. This lovely couple lives in our neighborhood and generously bought girl scout cookies from my daughter for years. They were always so welcoming and kind to her. We always admired their lovely garden They always gave us a tour. His sweet smile and wave will be so missed.

My sympathy to all the West family.
Alan and I went to elementary school together and his parents and mine were good friends. You attended my wedding in Long Beach in 1952.
Sadly, we lost contact over the years. By an amazing coincidence I found his notice. Peace and comfort. Jo Ann Donahue O'Bannon, Grass Valley, CA

We loved that man so, his chatter, his laugh, his I'll do anything for everybody, his love for Joan and his kids, his voice I can hear it now, and the list goes on and on. He has been a friend to our family including those who are gone for longer than I can remember. Rest in peace Alan, we miss you. Our Deepest Sympathy to Joan and the family. Our condolences to Alan's family. I remember talking to Alan when he stopped in at the Bank to speak to my boss, Clarence Schwartz. Later Alan and I would serve on the board of HOPE for the Brea Schools. He was always willing to talk about his winery in Paso Robles and other things going on in Brea. We will all remember him for his kind words and inerest in anything to do with Brea. John & Agnes Porter
