ALBERTA THARRINGTON Obituary

Tharrington, Alberta, of Yorba Linda, California, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Rutherford County, North Carolina, October 29, 1935 to Marcus and Jenny Lee Whiteside, Alberta was a loving wife, dear mother and grandmother. A devout Christian, she loved spending Sunday mornings worshipping at her spiritual home, Community Christian Church. Alberta was a spiritual mentor to many, who proudly shared the word of Christ through her jail and convalescent home ministries. Alberta is survived by her husband, Chaplain George Tharrington; her daughter, Andrea; her son, Clayton; son-in-law, Mark; and two grandchildren, Devaun and Mauria. She also leaves behind her brother, Albert. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, January 4, 2011 at Eastside Christian Church, 2505 Yorba Linda Blvd, Fullerton, Ca 92831. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Christian Church building contribution fund, 5100 East La Palma, Suite 119, Anaheim, Ca 92807. McAulay & Wallace Mortuary

i worked with alberta years ago and will never forget how much she cared for all around her as well as the love she had for her family. they were everything to her and anyone who knew her was really the lucky ones to have shared time with her. she will be missed but loved dearly, i will never forget her, and to george, andrea, and clayton you have been truely blessed. judy shakman
