Our prayers are with you always even when in times not needed. It has been a year since we lost Burke and less than that with MaryAnn, and we miss them allot. But today I would like to say to MaryAnn & Burke, may you now guide your cousin and friend Nunziata Lucifora Calcagno (Mariella's mom) to heaven. We will miss them all until we meet again in Heaven, in Jesus name, Amen.

Joe and I were so sad to hear of Burkes passing. He was such a darling man. I can remember the wine and cheese parties at your parents house..we had to sample your Dads home made wine...he was so proud of it! Those were fun times. Give your mom our deepest condolences and love and also to all of you and your family.

Grandma, mom, and aunt Tina, I am so sorry that you lost the most important man in your life but his love and memories live on and we will be reunited someday! I love you all and am always here for you.

My dear sweet grandpa! You were the best grandpa anyone could ever ask for. you were always there for your family, friends, neighbors and anyone who needed you. Your love for animals was no different and fortunately this is where my love for animals came from. Thank you for being you. I love you so very much and can't wait to see you again real soon.

Dear Dad: I just wanted you to know how proud I am to be your daughter. You were such a great dad to Linda and I and a loving husband to mom. You were so patient and easy going, even with the three of us females under one roof.
You were kind, caring and compassionate, but firm when you needed to be. Always a true gentleman; they sure don't make 'em like that anymore.
You were also such a great friend and neighbor. You were always fixing things for people.
You had such compassion and love for the less fortunate. You always rooted for the 'underdog'. Let's not forget the compassion and love for the critters. The world would not be a very kind place without that compassion. You obviously passed that down to Linda and I...thanks for that!
You served in the USAF. You flew the flag everyday, not just on the holidays. Another tradition passed down to us. The love for your country was hard to beat. You served her well.
I know in my heart Jesus will keep you busy in heaven. He'll give you the job of greeter at the gates, or He'll have you 'fix' broken souls. You will be great at whatever job He gives you, you always gave it your best!
Thank you, Daddy, for being the most incredible father a girl could ever ask for. You truly are my 'hero'. I'll love you and keep you close to my heart forever. I'll miss you terribly, Dad.
P.S. I'll be rooting for the Angel's for you!

My heart and prayers go out for you and will always be there in the future. Grandpa Burke openly welcomed me into the family, giving that kindness that is so strong in the family. I will miss him dearly but look forward to seeing him again when Jesus returns.

What a great neighbor Burke was, the best I ever had! I lived "across the driveway" in Anaheim from MaryAnne and Burke for almost twenty years. He was always pottering around in his back yard, and not long before they moved to Yucaipa, he even found something to do on his roof! I missed seeing the American flag raised for every holiday after he moved. I'm thankful for the memory of a fun visit with both Burke and MaryAnne in Oak Glen. A nice, nice man who never was shy about his opinion or patriotism, he will be missed! "God is near to the brokenhearted", so He surely is with this family.
