Carol Wolfert Obituary

Wolfert, Carol M., longtime Brea resident, died at home on November 30, 2010 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born April 22, 1936 in Amityville, New York. She was the daughter of Marie and Fred Mitchell and the beloved sister of Ross. Carol leaves a legacy of very special memories to family and friends. Carol loved her family and her pets! She enjoyed a long active association with Brea Republican Women and was a charter member of the Brea Beautification Committee. A highlight in her life was working for Congressman William Dannemeyer. The City of Brea provided many avenues for Carol and her husband Ray to contribute to the community. Carol touched the lives of many with her smile and generosity. She married Raymond Wolfert in 1956. They shared many adventures and raised a wonderful family. He preceded her in death in 1993. Carol is survived by her son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Gracie Wolfert and her daughter, Daphne and son-in-law, Gary Miller. She cherished her two wonderful grand- daughters Emily Miller and Carly Wolfert Lund. A Celebration of Carol's life will be held at the church she attended. Saturday, January 8, 2011, 2:00pm at the Brea Congregational Church.
