Cecilia Salazar Obituary

Salazar, Cecilia (Cece) Larez On the early morning of October 26, 2010, Cecilia (Cece) Larez Salazar, born in Santa Monica, CA, on September 30, 1947, was taken away from us too early at the age of 63. Cece finally lost her battle with cancer. She passed away in the arms of her husband of 37 years with her daughter at her side. Those who knew Cece knew how much she loved working in her yard. She took pride in her yard. Towards the end of her battle, it was upsetting to her that she could not get outside and tend to her flowers. Cece was a devoted wife to her husband, Joe Gilbert Salazar. In the earlier days, they did some traveling and enjoyed going to the casinos…Cece loved the slot machines and would always come out with more winnings than her husband. She was an amazing mom and grandma. She enjoyed going to the beach, swap-meet and Angel games with her daughter, Cindy and grandson, Joe. Cece has left a little piece of her heart in each one of us. She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Cindy Miller (Dan); grandson, Joe Miller; Rita Davila and siblings. She will also be missed by her two dog companions, Sadie and Toto. Rather than send flowers, please make donations to Best Friends Sanctuary. A memorial will be held for our beloved Cece at a later time.
