Kohnow, Charles K. August 3, 1921 to December 1, 2010 Born in Philadelphia, Penn., passed away in Huntington Beach, Ca. US Marines 1939 - 46 and 1951 - 52. Pearl Harbor Survivor, Master Technical Sargent, 1st Marines, First Division, in the Pacific during WWII, Occupational Forces of Japan 1944 to 1946. Korean War, 1951 - 52, Icon Invasion, Chosen Few, Awarded Bronze Star for valor. Retired from So. Ca Edison 35yrs. Survived by wife of 66 years, Elinora; daughter, Cherrie Danks; and sons, Charles and Richard. contact: Chuck Kohnow (949) 933-0312.

I think you're such an incredible, brave man. After seeing the horrors of Pearl Harbor, you kept going and facing challenges only some can bare. You fought for this country your whole life. I'm only 16, but your whole life story inspires me so much.
