Edie, you were such a wonderful addition to the YWCA staff with all your contributions to the Wings Shelter for Battered Women and their Children. You worked these past several years with us on the Wings Tennis Classic Committee as we raised money for the shelter program. In addition to your daily responsibilities as director of the Shelter you were a hard & willing volunteer to do all that was needed to make each fund raiser a big success. Your sense of humor, hard work and dedication made it an honor and pleasure to work with you. Thank you for being in our lives. Fondly, Ann

Though I only knew Edie for a short time, it was easy to see her compassion and strength that cared for the broken and homeless. Thanks Edie for your willingness to serve on the SGV Homeless Coordinating Council and stand for justice as you helped so many that experienced homelessness due to Domestic Violence. Your love, compassion and strength will be missed!

I will always remember my mother as one of the happiest people I've ever known. It is no wonder her favorite place was the "happiest place on earth", Disneyland. To those of you who knew her from Girl Scounting, thank you. Thank you for helping her to see there was joy and laughter in the world during a very dark time in both our lives. You helped her find her happiness again and for that I am forever grateful. For those of you who knew her later, thank you for accepting her for who she was, as she was. That was really all she ever wanted. She was the light of my life. She was my best friend, and the most wonderful, accepting, giving mother a child could ask for. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.

This is one lady who will definately leave a hole in many, many hearts. I loved her and was honored that she called me her "son". A more loving and giving person, I have never met. You'll be missed Mom. I love you.
