Franklin R. Barlet Obituary
Barlet, Franklin R., USMC, Retired, passed away March 21, 2013, at home in Brea, surrounded by his family after a short, yet hard fought battle against cancer. Born November 5, 1933 in Berwick, PA to Thomas and Louise Barlet, he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1953, and served our country until his Honorable Discharge in 1975. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars and met and married his wife, Rose, while serving on US Embassy duty in Amman, Jordan. After retiring from the Marines, Frank worked for Allstate regional headquarters in Brea, Mills Ford in Anaheim, and finally for Bejac Corporation in Placentia. Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose; children, Ron Barlet (Peggy), Donna Kunz (Tom), Windy Barlet and Chrissy Barlet. Also survived by grandchildren, Kevin Barlet (Jillian), Leah Barlet, Adam and Ashleigh Dubuc, and sister, Betty Hunsinger who resides in PA. Frank also leaves behind his four-legged companion, Charlie, who never left his side. Services will be held at 10:00am on April 2nd, 2013 at Memory Garden Memorial Park and Mortuary in Brea, followed by a 2:15pm Military Honor Burial Service at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside.
