Dear Sandy and Family,

Gary was a thoughtful person, humorous and intelligent. We had so much fun as young high school drivers in his chopped 50 Ford sedan cruising MacDonald and 23rd up in Richmond, CA. Boating on the bay in an impossibly small aluminum boat fishing, he was always such a kick to be with.
We pursued our separate ways over the years and I only visited Gary and Sandy a few times on business trips down to Orange County.
I feel fortunate that my sister called with his cell number and I spoke to him as his hospice started. He joked it was just a way to lessen the burden of goihg to the hospital, home calls as it were. Optimistic and leaving me with a sense that all was OK. Sorry, Gary, I know you don't want my tears but I miss you, the memories and the utmost sympathy for Sandy and your family. You are special and will not be forgotten.

Love,

Ron, Peggy, Nate and Holly Lampe

Sandy & family:
Gary will always be remembered as a great guy who loved his family and was there for each and every one of them. He gave me a lot of laughs and I will never forget him. "Comfort" is a difficult word at this time but I hope that you do find comfort in knowing that Gary is no longer suffering and is being held close in God's arms forever. Stay strong and remember that so many friends and family have you in their thoughts and prayers.
Love, Renee
