Hazel Boeddeker Obituary

Boeddeker, Hazel M., 96, of Belleville, IL, born September 19, 1913, in Niota, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Dammert Geriatric Center at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, IL. For the last several years, Hazel resided at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Apartment Community in Belleville, IL. In earlier years, she had lived in Huntington Beach, CA. Hazel enjoyed life to the fullest and was always ready to share a laugh with her many friends. She was a wonderful gardener, and people would drive past her home to view her beautiful flower garden. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna, nee Zart, Boeddeker; two sisters, Verna Flieman and Mildred Boeddeker; and two brothers, Paul and Leo Boeddeker. Surviving are two nieces, Sharon Wood of Niota, IL, and Kathleen Lawrence; a nephew, John Boeddeker of Falls Church, VA; and a close friend, Sandy Koons of Springfield, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com. Visitation: Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Apartment Community Chapel, Belleville, IL. Funeral: A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Shrine Apartment Community Chapel. Interment will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at Gethsemane Cemetery in Fort Madison, IA. Arrangements by George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
