JaNahn Fleischman Obituary

Fleischman, JaNahn O, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 25, 2010. JaNahn was born in 1919 in Newman Grove, Nebraska and spent her early years there, attending Wayne State Teacher's College prior to moving to Pasadena, Ca. in 1938. She attended Pasadena City College, then graduated from the nursing program at Huntington Memorial Hospital in l943. She met her husband of 50 years, Gale, during this time, and they were married in 1943. JaNahn spent much of her life raising and caring for her four children, Joan, Donn, Robert and Frank. After Gale retired in 1982, they experienced many wonderful trips in their recreational vehicle, traveling to various locations around the United States and Canada, and camping with their children and grandchildren in their favorite State and National Parks. JaNahn is survived by her four children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Laguna Woods on Thursday, December 9th at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 24231 El Toro Rd., Laguna Woods, Ca., 92637, or a charity of choice.
