Marie Jane Legrand

Legrand, Marie Jane, 89, years of age, passed away on September 14, 2010. Marie was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She grew up on the Main Line with her sister Lee and brother Frank. Marie met her husband of just 65 years at a military party and married Frank six months later. Marie and Frank lived in Newport Beach for 58 years and spent many long weekends in Palm Desert. Marie loved to play golf and bridge with her friends, was known for her Sunday night dinners, Italian cooking, dancing the night away and spending time with her grandchildren. Marie is survived by her loving husband, Frank; daughter, Lynda and husband, Danny Bibb; son, Gary and wife, Carol Legrand; six grandchildren, Lindsay Bibb, DJ Bibb, Kristy Bibb, Kyle Legrand, Sara Legrand and Nicole Legrand; sister, Lee Gilboy and brother, Frank Santone. We will dearly miss Marie's humor and all her love and devotion. A Vigil will be held Sept. 29, 2010 Wednesday at 7 pm. Services will be held September 30, 2010, Thursday, 10 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Balboa Island, CA. Celebration of Life to follow Big Canyon Country Club 11:30 am-3:00 pm.
