Mom,
It's been almost 8 months, and I still think of you so many times every day. It's hard to imagine that you are really gone and that I won't see you again in this lifetime. We're leaving next week to take your remains to their final resting place on this earth, and it still seems so unreal. You were a wonderful mom, and taught me so many things that make me the person that I am. I'm proud to say that I'm like you in so many ways. I'm honored that you trust me to take care of dad - I only hope I'm doing half as good as you did. You had a hard job and that took it's toll on you. The love you both shared over 60 years is evident in how you kept on going, even when it was tough for you. It takes us all to do the job you did single-handed! You were an amazing woman and I miss you so much.
Love,
Valerie
