NAH MI (OH) KIM Obituary
Kim, Nah Mi (Oh), aged 104, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2013 at her home in Newport Beach, California surrounded by family. Born in the Korean Empire in 1908, Mrs. Kim lived a long and fruitful life. She was a kindergarten teacher who loved music and devoted herself to family and the Christian faith. In 1975, Mrs. Kim immigrated to the United States. She was proud of being an American citizen and was always thankful.

Mrs. Kim was the daughter of Bong Sook Choi and niece of Jah Nam Choi, both of whom were honored members of the Korean Independence Movement during the Japanese occupation.

Mrs. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Deok Boh Oh and Bong Sook Choi; her brother, Cheol Oh; her husband, Gahng Kim; and her son, Kwang Yup Kim. She is survived by her son, Kwang Min Kim (Young Sil) of Cypress; daughters, Seong Lan Kim Boyce (Robert) of New Castle, Delaware, Younglan Kim Ewing of Newport Beach and Kyung Lan Kim Huh (Seung Ryong) of Buena Park; grandchildren, Grace Kim, Shirley Kim Yap (Andrew), Marco Boyce (Annamarie), Alexander Boyce (Emma), Jeffrey Ewing (Caroline), Lannie Ewing, Nick Kim (Jamie), Roger Huh and Jean Huh; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Geraci, Ashley Ewing, Hannah Yap, Daniel Boyce, Abigail Yap and Sadie Ewing.

Funeral services were at Hankook Mortuary in Norwalk, California and interment was at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California on June 8, 2013.
