ORPHA LUCILLE THOMAS

Thomas, Orpha Lucille, of Irvine, died peacefully on October 16, 2010 at Irvine Cottages with her son and daughter at her side. She was 84. She was born May 6, 1926 in McIntosh, Minnesota to Anne and Ragnvald Lowe. Orpha was a longtime resident of Irvine. She was an entrepreneur with many talents; she was involved with companies in the printing and electronics industries. In her later years she became a travel agent and traveled the world. She was one of those people that always wanted to help others and give of herself. She loved family and friends and was very involved in her church; Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She left behind many wonderful memories, and will be missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Obert. She is survived by her children, David Thomas and Lori Thomas; daughter-in-law, Carol; and granddaughters, Laura, Nicole and Lindsay. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, November 13th at 2 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4800 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92604. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
