Phyllis Weiner Obituary

Weiner, Phyllis Gwendolyn April 19, 1929- September 5, 2010 Phyllis Weiner, of Laguna Hills, CA., passed away with her family by her side. She was 81 years old. Phyllis was born in Philadelphia, PA to Israel and Lena Yussen. She married the love of her life on September 12, 1948, Irving Weiner, who died in 1988. For their honeymoon, they traveled by train to California. They stayed in California never looking back! Phyllis and Irv had four children. Phyllis was hired by Bank of America where she worked herself up the ladder to branch manager. She retired in 1987. Phyllis loved her family, and looked forward to family events. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles; she did them in ink! Phyllis, also, enjoyed playing Mah Jong, going to plays and movies, attending her grandchildren's' activities, eating out with her friends and family, and traveling. Phyllis is survived by her four children, Susan Turner (John) of Sam's Valley, Oregon, Jo Robin Haimovitz (David) of Sherman Oaks, CA., Michelle Kinsbursky (Robert) of Israel and John Weiner (Kim) of San Juan Capistrano. Phyllis was the grandmother of 10 and the great grandmother of 3. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation www.pcrf-kids.com.
