December 21, 1919 - May 4, 2013

Resident of Newport Beach, California.

He had recently moved to the Bay Area to be near his children, Mike and Kerry and their families five months earlier. Until that time he lived his entire life in Orange County. Rollo was born December 21, 1919 in Anaheim on the family farm on Ball Road. His parents, RW McClellan Sr. and Blanche McClellan, moved to Costa Mesa in 1926 with their four children, Ellen, Virginia, Rollo Jr. and Sparks. McClellan Construction Enterprises participated in the early development of Newport and Costa Mesa through their sand and gravel, dredging and site development activities.

In 1956 he was elected to the Newport Mesa School Board and served 2 terms. In addition to Real Estate Development he was an active member of the community throughout his life.

He was an active sailor and at a drop of the hat you would be on the Bay for a sail on his boat "Whisper". He loved the outdoors and spent great times with his family on camping trips. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Rollo will be remembered by his love of life, and his dedication to his family and friends. Rollo was preceded in death by his wife, Betty of 64 years.
