RYAN WOOSLEY Obituary

Woosley, Ryan Wade, 37, of Palm Springs, Ca., formerly of Anaheim, passed away 1/15/2010 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Palm Springs. Survived by his mother, Diane Roper (Greg) of Anaheim; father, Byron Woosley (Bonnie) of Indio; sister, Kristin McMillan (Craig) of Yorba Linda; his niece-to-be arriving in May; his grandmother, Delma Joyce Woosley of Greenwood, Arkansas; his many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended and blended family spread from coast to coast; and his puppies, Wilma and Rocky, two of the countless homeless dogs and cats he adopted over the years. Those aware of the hurdles he overcame in his life know it to be a true success story, one that made his family very proud. Truly our hero. A Celebration of Ryan's life Saturday, 1/23 at 2:00pm, at Heritage Palms Country Club, 44291 S. Heritage Palms Dr., Indio, Ca. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Humane Society of the Desert - Orphan Pet Oasis in N. my prayers and thoughts go out to the family of Ryan. Ryan is my best friend, we met at Carols House and a strong friendship grew from there. Ryan was always there when i needed him he had picked me up whenever my truck broke down and who i had as an emergency contact for my daughter at school. thats how much trust and love i had for him. It's taking me this long to post anything here because i still haven't come to grips with the fact that he's not with us anymore. i lost my father years ago, and haven't felt that kind of pain until i heard of this. i love Ryan like a brother we had great times hanging out and winning last years bowling league, in which he bowled his first 300. Mckenna and I miss you brother, but you and i will hang out again one day. until then rest in peace.

Just today, I heard about Ryan. What a shock.
I couldn't believe it until I was able to look at the obituary in this paper. It seem like just a couple of months ago he called me and said "I'm about to jump out of a plane. Can you come and film it. I jumped up grabbed my camera ran to the car to start looking for an open field they were trying for
with in about a 3 mile radius. Finally I spotted him or his parashoot. I will never forget the look on his face and the joy that gave him. He wanted to go do it again. I am so glad that he was able have that experiance. We should all have something to give us the exileration I saw on his face that day. I am so very sorry for your loss. Ryan will be missed.

I will look for some of the photo's if I find them I will post them.

Ryan had such a special connection with animals everyone knew this. But, I got to watch him hold out his finger and whistle to a dragonfly one day at my pool, and it actually landed right on the tip and just looked at him for a minute and took off. He did this a few times that day, and I must say, I was impressed. It still makes me smile everytime i think about it, and thats the how i will hold him in my memory, with a smile. It was such an awsome thing to witness. I thought you might like to hear it. He really was a gentle soul. My condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Byron and Family, Ryan had many friends who loved and cared about him. I have read many beautiful tributes to Ryan. Ryan was a great person and a good man who loved all, especially animals. That is one of things I loved most about Ryan was our mutual love of animals. I hope his little doggies will get a loving home, that would surely make Ryan happy. May peace be with you and yours at this most difficult time. With love and Prayers your friend, Kimie Lu

Dear Ryan's family,my family and I have had the pleasure of knowing Ryan for 6 or so years and he will be missed. I too know the struggles he has had to overcome what he has, as I have done the same. He was a great person full of humor and love (especially for animals) and with the recent loss of my mom Karen I have learned to be so grateful and thank God everyday for lending me her, maybe that can help you with losing him. One day we will all be together again in the most perfect place. Please know that our prayers are with you all.RIP Ry-Booski, Love sincerely, Megan Schmidt and family

To the Family of Ryan,

Ryan's Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun,
Life holds so many faucets, this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no-days and years.
Think of how he must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much.

God Bless Your Family, for allowing us to know you, Rest in Peace!

My and my daughter's condolences to the Woosley family. We had the privilege of knowing him from bowling at Palm Springs Lanes for quite a few years and enjoyed the heck out of his company. He was a wonderful person. Unfortunately, we are personally aware of the inability of driver's to be aware of motorcyclists as my daughter, Ashley Carothers, was also severly brain injured, but survived, a motorcycle versus car accident in which the car failed to yield back in 2001. We would bowl for her "therapy" and Ryan was always awesome to both Ashley and myself Linda. So very sorry to the family. Words cannot heal the pain, but they tell me time does, so far, I still suffer, as a mom, from the injuries and the trauma my daughter suffered. - Linda and Ashley Carothers

My heart goes out to your parents, sister and all of your family. Though we were roommates for way to short a time, you were definitely part of our family. I was so happy to have you here looking after our "Babies", with daily walks, swimming lessons and yard chases! It was great to see your joy in keeping so close to your family, with your many trips to visit your Mom, Stepdad and Sister, and your Taco dinners with Dad and Stepmom here. Your excitement at being an "Uncle" was catching. You are truly one of the best people I have ever met. I miss you Ryan. Till we meet again. Love, Jackie

Ryan will be remembered by each of us in our own special way. But in the end, the one thing we all have in common is that Ryan was our friend. His smile and laughter always lit up the workplace. He was also a pretty good bowler. His love of the sport only increased his determination to achieve that ultimate 300 game. His encouragement of younger adults in the bowling center, only insures that his legacy will live on in them forever. Mr. and Mrs. Woosley, my heartfelt condolences on this senseless and tragic loss go out to the entire Woosley family. If any good can come of this, it would be the heightened awareness of other drivers in this valley, albiet all across this country, of the perils and risks that every motorcyclist faces daily, enjoying their lives the way they want to. If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesistate to call me.

Sincerely,
Scott Rhoades

I will miss Ryan so very much, his heart was the kindest of them out there. Always there when a friend needed to talk or a shoulder to cry on. He was the best person anyone could have known. Ryan you will be surely miss by all, I feel you are with the angels now...in fact I bet you'll make the best angel out there, I love you and miss you so......

Dear Ryan's Mother snd Father & Friends,

I was there at scene of the accident on Friday and stopped immediately and went over to Ryan, I told him to keep breathing, that I would'nt leave him and that he would be ok, just to breath.

I won't ever know for sure if he heard me, but I know that I was with him when to took his last breath and I know he was not in any pain. I'm a mother of four sons and I hope knowing this will give Ryan's family comfort, he was not alone when he died. I see his beautiful face everytime I close my eyes I will never forget Ryan.
My believe is that Ryan was needed in another place and god simply placed his hand on him that day and took him home. Peace be with all of Ryan's family
