Steve Snook Obituary

Snook, Steve Allen, was born May 4, 1956. He passed away Oct. 18, 2010. He was married to Marri Graybeal Snook on Dec. 2, 1989. She survives him at their home in Aberdeen, Wash. They moved into their newly built house in Aberdeen, Wash in 2008. He loved his house on the hill and enjoyed sitting on his deck with views of the bay and river and watching the birds and deer. On dry days you could find him walking around the neighborhood or putting in his golf cart with his dogs, smiling and waving at everyone he saw. A Celebration Of Life will be held in Sunset Beach, Calif in December 2010.

Well I for one will certainly missed my old friend Steve. Being born only 2 weeks after Steve and growing up with Steve as his next door neighbor and best friend through our elementary ages till our teenage years, I am just flooded with countless of conversations, childhood memories that I will remember the rest of my life. From the tree house we built when we were kids, to finding Pollywogs in the local viaduct, to just walking to school avoiding the local bullies, Steve really was a true childhood friend. While Steve and I eventually went our separate paths, whenever we managed to connect, it was like sharing a slice of time with the brother I never had, but always dreamt of.

Even my parents, Gladys and Jim Watkins, reminded me of all the trouble Steve and I gave our respective parents growing up. Needless to say, that brought a smile to my face. Truly, I am saddened, my heart goes out to Marri, Mary, and the rest of the family since I know how infectious Steve's smile was, and how he always made everyone feel loved.

I for one will remember all the good and bad times I had with Steve, most importantly, I will remember all the little rays of sunlight he brought into everyone's heart when he gave them his sincere smile and warm hug.

I miss Steve,

David
