WANDA VARNER Obituary

Varner, Wanda, age 67, was born on January 3, 1943 in Laurel, Mississippi, and passed away on December 25, 2010 after a 4-year struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Wanda was a real estate broker for 35 years owning Century 21 offices in La Habra and Brea, CA. She received numerous awards in the real estate industry and has left a legacy through the many agents she educated and mentored. Her greatest gift was finding the special talent in each person she knew. She was happiest traveling to spend time with her family and friends. Wanda raised her family in La Habra, CA. She is survived by daughters, Renee Barker (50), Yvonne Linder (49), Julie Hill (47), Lisa Hooper (43), Kristi Burge (41) and their spouses; and grandchildren, Katelyn Hill (21), Nate Barker (19), Alexis Linder (18), Brandon Hill (18), Abby Barker (18), Cole Linder (16), Roxanne Barker (15), Mason Burge (13), Luka Hooper (10), Mahala Hooper (8), Anani Hooper (6) and Shobi Hooper (4). A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Christian Center in Brea.

Our thoughts and prayers have been and will be with you and your family. Wanda was such a great person. I admired her when I first met her about 48 years ago. She was an inspiration to me. Always enjoyed the visits we shared when she came to North Dakota. God's blessings to all. Renee and Lonnie Anderson
