Dorothy G. Gray Obituary
Gray, Dorothy G., (a.k.a. Dottie, Dot, GG Dot, Little Grandma) born Dorothy Genevieve Burtscher in Los Angeles, California, Dec. 3, 1933 passed away at home in Costa Mesa, California on April 23, 2014.

Dottie was a flamboyant redhead (sometimes blond) with a lust for life and penchant for shopping, entertaining, appetizers and cocktail hour. Dottie's Motto: 'If the shoe fits - buy one in every color'! She was straightforward, genuine and held nothing back. She and her husband, Bob, were very good for each other and together enjoyed friends, family and travel for many years. She wore her hair-do like a crown and faithfully made her weekly trips to see Laura and the girls at the House of Richard in Covina. Dottie had an eye for 'bling' and was always well accessorized with a variety of frostings. At 80 years young, prior to being diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, she maintained a busy schedule gallivanting around town in her red Toyota, license plate 'I'm Gray 2', and spending time with her best friend Estelle. She became a true friend to those who loved her and she will be sorely missed.

Her adored husband Robert Edward Gray preceded her passing as did her sister Barbara Wilmoth. Dottie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Stone of Costa Mesa and son, Richard Kautzer of Port Charlotte, Florida; brother, Richard Burtscher of Buena Park; sister, Phyllis Barnes of Bakersfield; stepdaughters, Suzanne Powell of Long Beach and Linda Estrada of Ridgecrest. She has 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Rose Hills Saturday May 3, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hillside Chapel.

In lieu of flowers please go buy yourself a bauble.
