Marian Lemon Obituary
Lemon, Marian, who infused her love of family, friends and children via smiles and contagious laughter, passed away at the age of 94 on Saturday, July 17, 2010. She died as she lived, with grace, a soft landing to a powerful life. She worked her life for others in organizations such as Delta Kappa Gamma, the Philharmonic Society, Ebell, the Groovy Girls, the Red Hat Society and the United Methodist Church of Santa Ana. As a teacher of importance; she taught kindergarten, before we knew how important it is, for 37 years at Fremont School in Santa Ana, and continued working after her retirement as a highly requested substitute until the age of 91. She always carried her blue "Kids Are My Business" tote bag filled with puppets and songs. Most importantly, she worked for her family. At every point of importance in the life of any of her three children, ten grandchildren and great grandchild, she showed up with generosity. That work of hers was no work to her. But it created the family she and all of its members know is special. A "Celebration of her Life" will be held at noon on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Waverley Chapel in Fairhaven Memorial Park. The Reverend David Jamir will officiate the memorial service. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lemon. She is survived by her son, Dick Lemon; her daughters; Marcia Sanserino and Linda Champagne; ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Fairhaven Memorial Park
