Johnson, Glenn Charles, long -time resident of Cypress, California, passed away on January 8, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 78 years of age. He was born January 25, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Albert Johnson and Erna Maas. He moved to California with his mother and brother in 1941 and lived in Walnut Park and then Hawthorne and graduated in 1952 from Luezinger High School. He served in the military from 1957-1959 in a tank battalion in Fort Hood, Texas. Glenn married M. Diane Grinde June 25, 1958; they resided in Lynwood, CA for 14 years. He became a skilled craftsman in woodworking and built a successful business manufacturing furniture. Together they raised 8 children. He moved his family to Cypress in 1973. Glenn served faithfully over the years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a scout master, primary teacher, bishop, high priest group leader, on the high council and as a home teacher and temple worker in both the Los Angeles and Newport Beach Temples.|

Glenn is survived by wife, M. Diane Johnson; sons, Gregory Martin Johnson (Ann Johnson), Darren Matthew Johnson (Sarah Johnson), Mark Steven Johnson (Susan Johnson), Jeffrey Michael Johnson; daughters, Christen Michelle Cooper (Jeffrey Cooper), Wendy Marie Ayache, Lisa Marlene Schippert, Jennifer Melissa Rolph, (Greg Rolph); brother, Wayne Albert Johnson; 23 grandchildren; one great grandchild, one nephew, and many family and friends who will miss him dearly.
