How to place an obituary in Orange News

Funeral Homes please submit obituaries using email address below by deadline.

Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (Hours may change due to inclement weather or holidays). Voicemail messages will be returned on Saturday and Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. Submission deadline for next day publication from families is 2 p.m. Please be sure to include your home telephone, mailing address and the name of the funeral home/crematory that assisted with the arrangements for verification purposes. Email submission to orangeobits@dailyprogress.com .

To place In Memory, Cards of Thanks, or Celebration of Life notices on the obituary page, please contact Dana Hubbard, Obituary Coordinator via email at dhubbard@dailyprogress.com or fax to 434-978-7223. Deadline is 3 business days prior to publication date.

Submission deadline for Thursday publication is 12 p.m. on Tuesday.
