Catherine Verling Obituary
Catherine Jenkins Verling, 75, of Orange, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.
She was born May 15, 1935, in Madison County, a daughter of the late Fount and Erva Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lee Verling Jr.; a son, Carroll Lee Verling III; a brother, Maury Jenkins; and sister-in--law, Elmer Jenkins.
Mrs. Verling was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and a beautician.
She is survived by a son, Keith Eric Verling and his wife, Charlene, of Orange; a daughter-in-law, Sherrell Verling of Louisa; grandchildren, Sonya Taylor, Claude Thomas Taylor Jr., Jamie Verling, Eric Verling, April Verling, Jason Verling, Lisa Verling, Kevin Verling, Kendra Verling, and Virginia Lewis Needham; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services was held 2 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Preddy Funeral Home, Orange, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Smith officiated.
The family received friends from 2until 4 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the funeral home.
Preddy Funeral Home, Orange, was in charge of arrangements.

I am sadden to hear of Catherine's passing. She was my family's hairdresser when she run Cat's in Orange. I will keep her family in my prayers.
