Can't believe it's been this long, but for some reason I've been thinking about her all day. It helped reading all the comments. Lady's like Cory are rare.

Like many here, I only knew Cory through Paulsen's. She was a delight. Always helpful and patient, she made my regular visits to pick up prescriptions a trip to look forward to. My family and I were shocked to hear of her death. We send her family our condolences.

Cory was part of our little Portland Village and I am so terribly upset about this loss. We laughed and joked each month when I came into Paulson's for my prescriptions like we were long time girlfriends. I loved her laughter, her quick wit, her warmth, her smile, and her candor. I'm so sad she's gone - she will be so incredibly missed by our whole family. Thank you, "Party Pack", for being a light in our day.

Life is so short and to have it end to have it end so soon and in such a tragic way is unimaginable. Let happy memories overwhelm the loss Danny Youder and Mike Wagner

Cory was the heart and soul of Paulsen's. She was so friendly, outgoing and helpful, making it actually fun to pick up my prescriptions. I miss seeing her even though I didn't know her outside of the pharmacy. I'm so sorry for the people who were close to her and especially her family.

July 10, 2016

I knew Cory only through her work at Paulsen's. So I was with her only about two times a week. We played together every time I came in - she calling me "Mr. America" and me calling her darlin. Much warmth, much laughter. She was dear to me and I miss her.

Gone but not Forgotten

July 9, 2016

I met Cory her first day at Paulsens. She lit up the store with her presence. Her magnetic energy drew people in. When the new owners took over Cory continued to make the place electrifyingly friendly. She loved people no matter who they were. She'd go out of her way to help each customer as if they were her personal friend or family. She was kind and loving, it comes through with Stacey and Conner. I will miss her greatly! My condolences to Stacey, Connor and family. If you need to talk Stacey call me anytime. Jeanette

I was very sad to learn of Cory's passing. Cory was a ray of sunshine at Paulsons. Her smile lit up a room. Always able to handle any situation with ease; and she truly cared. I saw her last Friday afternoon and she was in wonderful spirits and greeted me in a particularly warm manner that day. I will always remember her that way. I always wanted to work at Paulsen's and for dear Cory to be my Mentor. But it did not happen. My deepest Condolences to her family and friends. She will be truly missed.

This is such horrible tragic news! Cory was always so sweet and I am in shock! I hope that, with time, her family will find peace and comfort in knowing how many people cared for her! My heartfelt condolences to Stacey and Conner

I watched clerks come and go at Paulsen's Pharmacy over
the years, and I have to say I was so happy when the new owners decided to keep her on. She was the best ever! As I sat in the famous chair waiting for prescriptions, I got to see her in action---competent, knowledgable, but most of all friendly and so helpful. I watched her treat disadvantaged people with dignity, respect, kindness, and love. I will miss her so much. When I saw her photo in the paper, I thought surely it was going to lead to an article about how she had touched so many people in her job at Paulsen's. I thought the headline was not for her picture, that surely there was some mistake.
Again, I will miss her so much.

Cory made Paulsen's feel like more of a neighborhood hangout than a pharmacy. I greatly enjoyed our chats, and have always been impressed by her compassion and sensitivity for customers - making all of us feel like friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cory's family and loved ones. Her light is gone too soon.

July 8, 2016

WE both enjoyed Corey as wonderful person and as a great person to deal with as a customer of Paulsens Pharmacy. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her two children and to all her family members. Again it was our gift to have had the pleasure of knowing Corey and dealing with her. Barbara & Tom Cooper

Cory was a loving parent to her wonderful children. She worked so hard to be her best for them. I believe that Cory will live on in Stacey, Connor, the rest of her family and in all of the others she touched. Peace is with you, Cory.

I went all through grade (her house was always fun!) and high school with Cory. All of my memories are of her smiling face, and her happy, sweet, and spunky personality. It has been a long time since I had seen her in person but I know if I had she would have made it seem like no time had passed. I will miss her posts but I know that she left the world a better place and for a better place. My prayers and condolences go to her family and especially her children.

This is very tragic and sad. I just saw her last Thursday at Paulsen's when I filled a RX. My son on Connor played baseball (I think it was baseball) together. My son is 1 yr older and went to Roseway Heights thru 5th grade b4 going to Da Vinci and then last yr to Madison. And I also knew Cory thru work. I work at the Star, the local newspaper, and they have advertised each month forever. So I was in there a few times a month. And Cory could sass me (I ask for it!), but she was also very kind to her clients (many who needed extra care and attention) and knew everyone's name. I thought it was smart to hold her over when the new owners came in. Stacey worked there too and is a very nice young woman that I'm sure Cory was proud of.

Anyway, it is all too sad and tragic and my thoughts are with the family. People say stuff like this all the time, but this truly a loss for the community as well as her loved one.

I knew Cory as the personality at Paulsen's Pharmacy. Cheerful, smart, efficient and caring. I will miss chatting with her.
I know she was proud of her milkshake mastery. I regret I never tried one.

We are so saddened by Cory's death. Cory will always be the little girl who grew up across the street from us when we lived in Portland. We will truly miss her. From water fights in the summer, parties, BBQ's and sliding down our hill during the ice storms, she was always there. We will always remember her laugh. Cory will always have a special place in our heart.
