Strandness, Jesse - Orlando  
Strandness, Jesse Jesse W. Strandness passed away May 9, 2015 at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Strandness, four children, and five grandchildren. He will be missed.

The viewing and services will be at A Community Funeral Home located at 910W. Michigan St. on Thursday May 21 2015 Viewing at10:00am to 11:00am with services to follow. Internment will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL.

Saliba, Mary - Valdosta  
Saliba, Mary Mary Helen George Saliba, 74, of Longwood, Florida died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Survivors include her husband, Gabe S. Saliba, Jr. and five children, six great grandchildren and one brother. Funeral Mass will be held at 1pm, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Valdosta, GA with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com Carson McLane Funeral Home.

Sandbrink, Irvin "Irv" - Toledo  
Sandbrink, Irvin Irv Irvin "Irv" Major Sandbrink was called to heaven in March of this year at the age of 87. Irv was born on March 21, 1927 in Milan, Indiana. After graduating early from high school he joined the Navy and served his country in World War 2 and the Korean War. In 1948, he married Betty Jean Sandbrink. They were married for 62 years and had three children, four grandsons, and three great grandchildren. His wife, Jeannie, past away in 2011. They raised their children in Toledo, Ohio where Irv worked for Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance as a General Agent. In 1977 they moved to Louisville, Kentucky still working with Lutheran Brotherhood. After a 32 year career with Lutheran Brotherhood, he retired and they moved to Florida. Irv and his wife Jean lived a life of caring and service to others. He often said you can be a giver or one that takes. He always was the giver. He served as an elder in his church and church president, but what he was most proud of was his family . In addition, he volunteered his time helping to build houses with Habitat for Humanity and built a church in at Abiding Savior Lutheran in Auburndale, FL. Irv is survived by his two daughter's Carol Freeborn of Laguna Niguel, California and her husband Scott Freeborn; Connie Gatlin of Oviedo, FL and her husband Rick Gatlin and four grandsons, Benjamin Freeborn, Justin Freeborn, Todd Reid, and Alex Gatlin; and three great grandchildren, Nathan, Sydney, and Zoe. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oviedo, Florida, on Saturday May 23nd at 10AM.

Smith Jr, Frank 86, formerly of Orlando, FL, passed away on April 26, 2015 in Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his children Coleen, Mark and Kelly; brother Richard; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Smitty has joined his wife, Rita, and son, Scotty, in Heaven. Funeral service at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1501 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando. Saturday, May 30th, 10am. Please make memorial contributions to WWFS.org in lieu of flowers.
