Andrew George "Andy" Cassen

Cassen, Andrew George "Andy" was born on December 28, 1921 in Bronx, New York to the late Victor and Jacobina (Dugas) Csadenyi. He passed away on June 6, 2013 at his residence in Winter Park, FL at the age of 91. Andrew proudly served in the United States Army and was a WWII Veteran. He worked as a Machinist for the Orlando Sentinel, retiring after 17 years. Andrew was a Sea Plane Pilot, he enjoyed playing bingo, and he collected WWII memorabilia. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park, Florida. Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Enid Cassen. Additional survivors include his 2 daughters, Ellen Cassen, and Barbara Donley (Mark); his son, Andrew Cassen (Ann); and his 6 grandchildren, Sonja, Adam, Eric, Trevor, Kyle, Christine. He was preceded in death by his 7 siblings. Interment will take place at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Andrew to the SPCA of Central Florida, 2727 Conroy Rd., Orlando, FL 32839. Arrangements are entrusted to the National Cremation & Burial Society, Oviedo, FL.
