62, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Ft. Walton Beach, FL She was born on October 5, 1950 in Lakeland, FL to the late Elmer and Dorothy Headen. She was raised in Haines City, FL primarily by her grandmother, the late Catherine Benbow Wade. Cynthia graduated from Oakland High School in Haines City, then Polk Junior College in Winter Haven, FL and earned her Associate's Degree in Arts and also earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL She served as an elementary school Teacher
and Administrator in the Orange County Public School System for over 30 years. There she worked with students in the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program. She was twice awarded Teacher of The Year Award for OCPS in 1990 and 2009. Cynthia was a longstanding member of The Way of Life Ministries, Inc. in Orlando, FL for over 25 years. Building on her faith, she diligently served her community through contributions of her time, skills and financial resources to various charitable organizations and other initiatives. Cynthia is survived by daughter Jennifer Wade Seaton (Gregory) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; son Christopher Robert Wade (Minty) of Washington, DC; step-mother Beatrice Headen of Cleveland, OH; brothers Keith Headen, Raymond Headen (Miesha), Michael Headen (DeAngela) and David Headen (Sherry) all of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren - Savannah Wade, Layla Seaton and Gregory Seaton; god children -Elizabeth Barnes and PJ Owens and other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at The Way of Life Ministries. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11am at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
