WILKS, DELBERT L., 85, of Sanford, FL, passed away on November 1, 2012. He was born in Leo, IN on July 7, 1927 to Samuel L. & Edith Wilks. He was a retired Seminole County Bus Driver, Seminole County Sheriff Dept. Crossing Guard, taught auto mechanics at Seminole High and JC Penney Auto Center. He was best known as the old man in the plumbing at Kings Supply and Ace Hardware in Sanford. He was known as the Mayor of Sunland Estates. He had a passion and love for baseball & softball for all kids. He was President of Seminole Pony Baseball for many years. He was always there and always had an honest answer for you. He is preceded in death by his sister, Audrey, Kendaville, IN. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lois; daughters, Jessica (Shawn) Kendall, Valerie (Greg) Richards, Cindy Wilks, Chris (Bill) Knight; sons, Tim (Laura) Wilks, John (Amy) Wilks, Tom (Billy) Wilks; grandchildren, Deven, Tony, Christian, April, Lil Jessica,
Brandon, Dustin, Denton, Clayton, Kieria, Kayla, Jacob, Ethan;
Stephanie and Josh; great-granddaughters, Aliyah & Railyn and sister, Lillian Hague, Kendaville, IN; brother Arthur Wilks, Auburn, IN. Family will be receiving friends from 6 - 7 PM with Memorial Service to follow on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Gramkow Funeral Home & Crematory.
