James Lloyd Beech Jr.

BEECH, JR., JAMES LLOYD, 79, passed away on September 18, 2011. Born in Ellisville, Mississippi, March 11, 1932, to James Lloyd and Lena Shores Beech, Jim graduated from Mississippi Southern College in 1955, and served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. Prior to retirement, Jim taught in the O.C.P.S. system, and served as Director of Recreation for the City of Ocoee. The Ocoee Recreation Center was named in his honor. He also founded the Big Orange Games for physically impaired children, and established the Ocoee Golf Assn. He was active in Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football. Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn; his children James Beech, Caren (Keith) Napier and JoAnna (Eric) McCurry; and his grandchildren: Heather and Cael Beech and Ryan and Monica
Napier. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 23 at
2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable
