CALLISON, LOIS IRENE, age 91, of Apopka, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012. She was born on March 26, 1921 in Dayton, OH to Edwin and Frieda Hopping, the second of 4 children. She married Charles (Chuck) Callison, and moved to Apopka in 1947, where they raised their three daughters. Lois was a Girl Scout Leader when her girls were young; she loved crocheting, sewing and crafts. Lois was a member of the Elkettes and she and her husband were active supporters in the Elks Club of Apopka for many years. Lois and Chuck enjoyed fishing and camping with their many friends of Apopka. Lois was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Chuck, and is survived by her daughters, Darlene Callison of Ethridge, TN; Sandra Smith (Ron) of Casselberry and Peggy Gooch
(Michael) of Merritt Island; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 from 10 to 11 AM with funeral services to immediately follow at 11 AM, both will be held at the Loomis Family Funeral Home Chapel.
