Paul Bergondy

BERGONDY, USN, CDR PAUL, (Ret) Born 24 April 1931 in Oakland, CA, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 in Clermont, FL. He served in the U.S. Navy for over 27 years flying Willy Victors, P-2Vs, EA-3s, and EA-6Bs. He also had several deployments to SE Asia during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was an innovator in the field of electronic warfare. He was an avid baseball player & coach. Preceded in death by Marianne (Phillips) Bergondy, his wife of over 51 years and his parents Paul Allende, Mabel Bergondy, and Harry Bergondy. Survived by his children: Mary Ann (Greg) Budzban, Maureen (Mitch Wilhelm) Bergondy-Wilhelm, Paul (Michelle) Bergondy, Jr., Dan Bergondy and Michael Bergondy; grandchildren: Chris (Libby) Budzban, Nick
Budzban and Jason Bergondy; and brothers Joseph (Joyce) Steiner and Bruce (Maureen) Bergondy. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Saturday, April 13th at 1 pm. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday the 12th (6-8 pm).
