Robert "Santa Bob" McClurg

McClurg, Robert Santa Bob81, passed away unexpectedly in Orlando, Florida on December 19, 2013. Bob was born in Homer, NY, to Ruth Cynthia Belden and Dawson Blair McClurg (and was the stepson of Kenneth B. Anderson). Bob graduated from Painted Post High School and attended Alfred University. Formerly of the Corning/Painted Post, NY area, he moved to the Orlando area in 1968 continuing his career with Prudential Insurance. His greatest legacy was warming childrens hearts as Santa year round. Bob was so proud to be a Korean War veteran, serving as a Corporal in the US Army. He was a very active member and served as President in many organizations including the Eagles, Elks, Moose, VFW, and the American Legion. He is survived by daughters Kellen (Robert) Payton of Tomball, TX and Lynette (Michael) Corcoran of Campbell, NY; grandchildren Michael, Gabrielle, Frederick, Shawn, Ashley, Earron, DJ, and Nicole; and eight great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter Lucinda D'Addezio. A family graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the or St. Jude's Hospital.
