DEWEY, ROBERT TAYLOR,
82, died Friday, November 30, 2012. He was born in Miami on July 24, 1930, and lived there for 42 years before moving to Eustis, FL. He married the love of his life, Eleanor Love, known as Jean and they were married for 61 wonderful years. He worked for Florida Power and Light for 37 years, ultimately managing safety programs for the state. He loved his work and when he retired he was brought back to work and finally replaced by three people. He was Methodist, a Shriner and a gentleman who took care of everyone. He always was quick to volunteer in any crisis, and he was legendary for his ability to repair anything. After graduating from Coral Gables High School, he joined the Navy and served in the Korean War
. He always looked forward to his ship reunions. In addition to his wife, Jean, he also is survived by: step brother James Bex, Ormond Beach, FL; four children, Barbara Styne (Philip), Orlando; Betty Blessing (Joe), Marietta, GA; Bruce Dewey (Leslie), Havana, FL; Beth Patrick (David), Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held December 14, at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 West Main Leesburg, 11:00 AM, burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 1:00 PM.
