R.W. Arbogast Obituary

ARBOGAST, R.W. "ARBY", beloved husband, father and friend. Survived by his wife Marty, daughter Kathy, son Larry and his beloved Golden Retriever "Honey Bunch". Arby lost his battle with cancer. He influenced so many peoples lives and will be greatly missed. It is the end of an "era", there will never be another "Arby". Such a hard working man, providing for his family. Always happy and smiling. He loved what he did. Making cotton candy was his life. Everyone felt special having known him. He was a charter member of Rio Pinar Country Club, where he loved to play golf and even made a hole-in-one. Arby was a second generation in his family business, a graduate of Rollins College where he was only five hours short of a Masters Degree in Economics. He did not need it though, as he was so smart about business. Everything he touched turned to gold. He passed away peacefully at his home with his family. He will be so missed by his family that he loved so much. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 10 am at the Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, Orlando. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Please share your condolences with the family on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and online at

I grew up out at Rio Pinar and every year, when the fair was in town, Arby would always give our family cotton candy. It was always a special treat. Even to this day, whenever I see cotton candy, I think of Arby. I'm sure he brought lots of smiles to the faces of children everywhere. Godspeed Arby.

Maryty,Kathy,Larry my wife and I are very sorry of our loss. I met Arby as a kid and thought highly of him. He gave me the most expensive free gift I ever had, and that was a set of golf clubs. I will think of him often and I will miss him.
