Joan, we met at Camp DeBaun the summer between 6th and 7th grade. As old as I was, you were my first real friend. We share so many memories – they all came rushing back over the last few weeks. After the summer we still remained friends and walked together to school for years. We ended up working at the same place (Hearst/UTP); and carpooled; you always drove when it snowed because I was afraid to. You were a bridesmaid at my wedding and you flew all the way out to Guam to visit me and to meet my new baby. We shared a small, but true, circle of friends throughout high school and beyond; at some point the world intruded and we moved apart but never in our hearts or minds - Tina and I miss you very much and will never forget you. Be in peace with your loved ones who welcomed you home with open hearts and arms. I love you dear friend.
