Barbara Hartman Obituary

HARTMAN, BARBARA TUCKER, 90, of Longwood, FL, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Barbara was born, April 2, 1921, in Philadelphia, PA to George and Rachel Tucker. She moved to Ormond Beach, FL in 1973 and then Longwood, FL in 1977. Barbara was actively involved in the Navy Relief Society and Navy Wives Club. She loved to travel, entertain and was an avid golfer as a member of Rolling Hills Golf Club.
Barbara served as Volunteer Scoring Chairman for the Bay Hill Classic and Walt Disney Golf tournaments. Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, William D. Tucker of Ormond Beach, FL and her son, Raymond W. Hartman, of Los Angeles, CA. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Capt. Raymond G. Hartman, USN Retired, and her daughter, Patricia A. Hartman. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 23, 2011, at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Chapel, 994 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service. Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 North Randolph St., Suite 225, Arlington, VA, 22203 (www.nmcrs.org).
